NORZVA is looking for Communication Systems Engineers to design, develop and validate spacecraft communication systems — covering RF link design, ground station interfaces and onboard communication hardware integration delivered to ESA-standard quality.
OPEN LEVELS
Intern
Support RF link budget calculations, communication system documentation and ground station interface preparation under senior engineer guidance. Ideal for final year students in electronics, telecommunications or aerospace engineering.
Junior (0–2 Years)
Perform RF link budget analysis, contribute to communication system design and support ground station interface definition on live client programmes.
Mid Level (2–5 Years)
Lead communication system design tasks independently, manage RF subsystem interfaces and own communication engineering deliverables
on client projects.
Senior (5+ Years)
Lead spacecraft communication architecture, manage communication engineering teams and represent NORZVA as communication systems technical authority with clients.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
– Design and analyse spacecraft RF communication links including uplink and downlink budgets
– Define communication system architecture including frequency bands and modulation schemes
– Develop ground station interface requirements and communication protocols
– Support onboard communication hardware selection and integration
– Perform communication system verification and validation testing
– Produce communication engineering documentation to ECSS and CCSDS standards
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
– Degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Aerospace or related engineering field
– Knowledge of RF communication systems and link budget analysis
– Experience with CCSDS communication protocols and standards
– Understanding of ground station systems and TT&C operations
– Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
NICE TO HAVE
– Experience with software-defined radio and digital communication systems
– Knowledge of antenna design and RF hardware characterisation
– Familiarity with ECSS and ESA communication standards
