NORZVA is looking for Vessel Management Systems Engineers at all levels — from fresh interns to experienced senior engineers — to join our growing maritime technology team. You will work on real vessel management projects including integrated monitoring systems, fleet management software and vessel control systems delivered to IMO and SOLAS standards.
OPEN LEVELS
Intern
Support VMS documentation, software testing and interface preparation under senior engineer guidance. Ideal for final year students in software, electronics or maritime engineering.
Junior (0–2 Years)
Develop VMS software modules, contribute to vessel monitoring system integration and support client deliverables on live maritime programmes.
Mid Level (2–5 Years)
Lead VMS development tasks independently, manage vessel system interfaces and own technical deliverables on client projects.
Senior (5+ Years)
Lead full VMS architecture and delivery, manage engineering teams and represent NORZVA as technical authority with maritime clients.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
– Design and develop vessel monitoring and control software systems
– Integrate VMS with vessel sensors, navigation systems and machinery interfaces
– Develop fleet management software for multi-vessel monitoring and reporting
– Ensure IMO and SOLAS compliance in all system designs and deliverables
– Produce technical documentation and user manuals for vessel operators
– Support vessel commissioning and remote technical support activities
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
– Degree in Software, Electronics, Maritime or related engineering field
– Experience in vessel management or maritime software development
– Knowledge of NMEA 2000, Modbus and maritime communication protocols
– Understanding of IMO and SOLAS regulatory requirements
– Strong software development skills in Python, C++ or Java
NICE TO HAVE
– Experience with ECDIS or AIS systems
– Knowledge of vessel automation and control systems
– Familiarity with maritime cybersecurity standards and requirements
