Port Automation Engineer

NORZVA is looking for Port Automation Engineers at all levels — from fresh interns to experienced senior engineers — to join our growing maritime technology team. You will work on real port automation projects including automated cargo handling systems, berth management software and port operations platforms delivered to IMO and international port standards. 

OPEN LEVELS

Intern
Support port automation documentation, system testing and interface preparation under senior engineer guidance. Ideal for final year students in software, electronics or industrial engineering.

Junior (0–2 Years)
Develop port automation software modules, contribute to cargo handling system integration and support client deliverables on live port automation programmes.

Mid Level (2–5 Years)
Lead port automation development tasks independently, manage system interfaces and own technical deliverables on client projects.

Senior (5+ Years)
Lead full port automation architecture and delivery, manage engineering teams and represent NORZVA as technical authority with port and terminal clients.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

– Design and develop automated cargo handling and berth management software systems
– Integrate port automation systems with terminal operating systems and equipment
– Develop port operations software for real-time monitoring and control
– Ensure compliance with international port and terminal standards
– Perform system testing and validation in port and terminal environments
– Produce technical documentation and operator training materials

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

– Degree in Software, Industrial, Electronics or related engineering field
– Experience in port automation or terminal management systems
– Knowledge of SCADA, PLC and industrial communication protocols
– Understanding of port operations and cargo handling workflows
– Strong software development skills in Python, C++ or Java

NICE TO HAVE

– Experience with terminal operating systems and port logistics software
– Knowledge of crane automation and automated guided vehicle systems
– Familiarity with port cybersecurity standards and requirements
