Structural & Thermal Engineer
NORZVA is looking for Structural and Thermal Engineers to perform spacecraft structural analysis, thermal modelling and design verification — ensuring every spacecraft structure and thermal system meets mission requirements and survives the harsh space environment.
OPEN LEVELS
Intern
Support structural and thermal analysis tasks, finite element model preparation and test data processing under senior engineer guidance. Ideal for final year students in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
Junior (0–2 Years)
Perform structural and thermal analysis tasks, contribute to FEM model development and support test campaigns on live client programmes.
Mid Level (2–5 Years)
Lead structural and thermal analysis activities independently, develop and validate analysis models and own technical deliverables on client projects.
Senior (5+ Years)
Lead structural and thermal engineering design, manage analysis teams and represent NORZVA as structural and thermal technical authority with clients.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
– Perform spacecraft structural analysis including static, dynamic and fatigue analysis
– Develop and validate finite element models using NASTRAN, ANSYS or ABAQUS
– Perform spacecraft thermal analysis and develop thermal mathematical models
– Define and execute structural and thermal test programmes
– Produce structural and thermal engineering documentation to ECSS standards
– Support spacecraft integration and test activities
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
– Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Structural engineering field
– Experience in structural or thermal analysis for space or aerospace applications
– Proficiency in FEM tools such as NASTRAN, ANSYS or ABAQUS
– Knowledge of thermal analysis tools such as ESATAN or THERMICA
– Understanding of ECSS structural and thermal standards
NICE TO HAVE
– Experience with spacecraft structural testing
and qualification campaigns
– Knowledge of composite materials and
lightweight structures
– Familiarity with thermal control hardware
and passive thermal design
